So far I've used a G-Box Dyno and an MK-808. HDMI sticks

The G-Box Dyno was a horrid disaster experience. Nothing but bugs and malfunctions.
1. Failure to consistently recognize/enumerate USB connected keyboard
2. Failure to consistently start up WiFi when booting up.
3. Failure to consistently "prepare storage" / establish read/write with Micro SD card.
4. YouTube app would not work
5. Chinese symbol input method always popping up
6. Whole bunch of Chinese bloatware.
7. Terminal failure of video output following transfer from one TV to another.
8. Ran hot and worthless heatsink tape did little more than make matters worse.

The MK-808 has been much more stable. Mad props for adding a proper heat-sink
Quad-core Mali 400 gpu is more than twice as powerful as the single-core Mali 400 on the G-Box Dyno
I ended up installing Finless Bob's 1.5a firmware mainly stemming from desire to have root access,

Here's the problem that i have with the typical HDMI Stick PC.
1. Attached USB hub makes for a rather messy looking situation behind your TV
2. WiFi b/g/n isn't very good nowadays if you live in the city or an apartment building because there are so very many devices all using 2.4GHz. For HD video streaming you really need Dual-band WiFi and / or wired Network connection.
3. You're gonna install a 3D gaming app from Google Playstore and then discover that they're made for touchscreen input and your HDMI stick doesn't support gaming controllers like those used on Xbox 360 or PS3.
4. Lack of Bluetooth and BT support via USB means that you can't connect a wireless gaming controller using the SiXaxis app.
6. DivX decoding on the Amlogic M3 of the G-Box Dyno as well as the RK-3066 of the MK-808 is slow and playback is poor during high motion scenes and especially during sideways camera panning.
7. Unless you're deranged, you're gonna connect a wireless keyboard and then become deranged as a result of the infuriating Onscreen Virtual keyboard that nobody can seem to keep from popping up every time you go to enter data into an input field.

Welcome to the forums Andrew!
..I apologize for having to be brief, I'm at my full time job as a fireman and we're busy..As for your DivX decoding and video playback have you tried other video players? I've had perfect playback of almost all different types of HD files. There are many good video/media players in the play market.
For the annoying on screen keyboard, we fixed that a while back and it's mentioned here a few times..Just go to settings, then apps, then all programs, click Android on screen keyboard (AOSP) and select disable..Voila
Thanks for being parrt of the forums! Let us know if you still have issues, good luck and cya around!
