Hi all
had my mk808 since November and all has been fine til last week. Plugged it in and nothing! No blue LED, No TV picture. I have a HDD connected to OTG which I had been using to watch videos. The LED on the HDD lights up still and I can hear it spinning. Any ideas?

I bought my Mk808 from eBay, so I emailed the supplier in Hong Kong. In an attempt to help identify the problem I mentioned the LED on the HDD. I got this reply
"As MK808 is using the low current to operate, it is not suitable to connect the external hard drive which require the large current. This made the MK808 overloaded and burnt out"
Any truth in this or is that just the supplier trying to blame me for the failure?

So, two questions.

Is anyone else consistently running a HDD from their MK808 with no power issues?
Do you think my MK808 is salvageable? And If so, how do I go about fixing it?

Many thanks
Derek

I spent $63 on a MK808 along with a RC12 a few weeks ago on marcmart.com. As far, it is the cheapest and best Android Google TV box I can serched online. I would like to recommand to anyone as it charges no shipping cost! Good product!

the seller should offer the service of repairing the item, I bought my mini pc from shenzhen Hideer, they reallly offer good service, althought the delivery time lasts a long time, but it is the problem of the post office, I had a very good communication of their sales, but the very unfortunate thing happened after I got the item, it doesn't work that makes me very sad, I contact with them online, and they asked me to send the item to them, they said after testing, they will repair the item or change a new one for me, and paid the shipping cost of returning the parcel, althought the transporting time takes a long time, but i get the second parcel in perfect condition, the MK808b with android 4.2.2 works perfect, I like their shop, because they offer good service. doesn't like other supplier, only sell, no warranty.
I highly recommend their shop.
