I'm Paul, (joker) and I haven't quite decided to buy the MK808 yet. I like my Revue but thought I'd try something new. I do have a couple questions tho. I've read that every time you boot up, you have to go to settings & disable the keyboard & change the zoom setting. Is that correct? Would the keyboard show up all the time or just when needed, and wouldn't using a wireless keyboard/mouse bypass the on screen on. My other question is about the zoom. Just how much is it off? Hope to be a part of this great forum soon. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum joker! I also own a Revue and while it's great, the software selection for Google TV is quite limited. The up side to the MK808 is that it will run anything an Android smartphone will, including apps that need root access. That's pretty huge for me personally.

Concerning your questions:

The on screen keyboard does pop up when needed, even if you have a wireless one plugged in, but there is an app that will fix that. And the zoom is only off slightly... honestly since I've flashed a new from, I haven't really noticed it being off at all. I'll check it and report back.

Thanks Jesse. I don't even know what rooting is or what it does. I have 2 laptops, an all in one and my revue. the revue is in my bedroom & is mostly used to surf car sites & read different forums. Mostly to kill time while waiting to fall asleep. I work 3rd shift & only get about 5 hours sleep a day. The 808 would be used for about the same. I wouldn't use it to watch movies, listen to music or lots of other things it's probably capable of doing. The zoom isn't much of a problem, but I don't think I'd like the keyboard always showing up every time I'd type. Along with the 808, I would buy the Logitech 400 wireless keyboard with trackpad. Another question I just thought of> Can a printer be used with the 808? Thanks again.

Hi joker,
The keyboard issue is fixed. Just go into settings>apps>running apps>uncheck aosp
The printer is a good question, I'll give it a shot soon and let you know.
