I have just got a Mk808 (ipegtop), in conjunction with a R900 Rii air mouse.
I have tried to use twice...and both times after a minute or so, when accessing play store, it crashes showing a green or grey screen sort of with lines, and shows no warnings/signs/information after re-booting, which I am doing by unplugging the USB power cable and re-inserting.

Questions:
1. Is this item faulty?
2. Is this how to turn it off/on?

I have other questions but they can wait until i at least get this up and running!

EDITED: I believe it has up-to-date software...29-10-2012, it now crashes when i access any app, coloured screen with lines or plain black, it is failing to re-boot most times, i see the logos then black screen.
It is hanging in mid air, so shouldn't be overheating. Powered via connection to TVs USB.

Try using the supplied power adaptor. It delivers a full amp of power. Most TV's and computers the usb ports can only supply half an amp... To me it sounds like it is being starved for power.

Thanks, yes i read another post here that someone use an adaptor, although it didn't explain what exactly is at fault....the device needs more power than USB port in TV provides....a failing by the manufacturer and supplier in not making it do this, and not informing us.
Shame, as i had wanted to power it from the TV, and the plug in the package is not for UK, even though I asked for such from supplier.

EDIT(added(: I am now powering it thru a travel adaptor with a USB port and a spare USB cable, can anyone advise what it is exactly I need to buy: a UK 3 pin plug to mini USB with 2000mA???
I'm fining it hard to distinguish between what i call mini USB and that for HTC/Blackberry phones......HELP!

I used the USB to power plug thing that came with my Samsung phone and it works OK. Apparently you need a 5v2a adapter because it provides more power that the device needs (presumably my Samsung adapter is one of these)
