Hi guys!

So I got the new MK808 and I am pretty excited about it! I want to use it as a media center but unfortunately I encountered many problems.

First of all, the device doesn't recognize my hard drive (on finless 1.4 & 1.6). I know for sure that the hard drive works since I tested it on my laptop. It's a 750GB internal hard drive in a powered enclosure.

Foremore, Imost of the time I can't write on my micro SD card (once again on finless 1.4 & 1.6). it's a 16gb class 4 brand new micro SD card who works flawlessly on my laptop. When I power my MK808 down and I take ou the SD card and I put it back in, I can write on it for about 4-5 minutes.

Also, I can't get droidmote to work on finless 1.6 but it was flawless on 1.4.

If you guys have any ideas I would be really happy to hear them since I had alot of hope for this device.

Thanks!

Do you use a non-powered usb-hub?

Thanks for the reply!

I don't use any HUB at all since my external hard drive as is own power supply. What's strange about it is that it finally worked but the device doesn't appear when I go trough my files but when I manually enter the location of my external Hard drives, it Shows up... Strange but it's good for me :P

Another problem I've encountered is once in a while, I can't access the play store. When I open it, it says it can't connect to internet (wich is false because I can go on internet without any problem.) My fix for now is flashing the firmware again and it seems to fix the problem but ervy 2 or 3 days it stops working again... Pretty anoying...

So I found the problem!

My external HDD are available but are not visible in the directory so I have to manually enter them. For the google play store, my unit wasn't set at the good time and date so it had a protocol error, now it works wonderful!

your hdd should formated as NTFS, ext or FAT32. But a 1TB HDD with FAT32 is nonsense.

my hdd is fromated in NTFS and it works fine with the mk808.

I would test it by following steps:
1. Is the HDD available on my normal pc
a) If not use a partition tool to find and format it
I)if it is not possible my hdd is garbage
b) check my powersupply of my "active" usb-hub
I) If everything alright than use a file explorer and navigate to /mnt/usb_storage/
