I got an mk808 a few days ago and don't know how to turn it off other than unplugging the power cable. Mine is rooted with finless rom 1.5a. How do you turn off your devices?

I just unplug it... I don't see any other way to turn it off.

i have finless 1.5a with an app called 'reboot'. i just use it and power off button works fine.
you can choose between reboot or power off.
but i can not find this app on the playstore so i think it just came up with the new firmware, i'm not sure.
or you can download 'fast reboot' by Droidgram on the playstore.

I just set up my MK808 with the new Finless 1.6 ROM which includes the power down feature as part of the ROM build.
However, I didn't like the idea of having to unplug / replug the unit to power it back on, so I added an X-10 control relay that I have had laying around for about 10 years now.

The unit is similar to this one http://www.x10.com/automation/.....r_ps4.html (except mine is an older model). The RF transceiver module has an X-10 relay controlled outlet on the bottom that I plugged my MK808 into. The X-10 remote is next to my bed so I can just turn it off and back on from there (after powering down via software).

I have a Logitech K400 wireless keyboard, and there is a key on it to shut down a PC.....It also works to shut off the MK 808. As far as turning it back on, I just unplug, and then plug it back in.

I just use a power strip with an ON/OFF switch. Works just dandy.

The power button (top row 2nd one from the left) on "Measy RC12 Wireless 2.4GHz Air Mouse + Touchpad" could switch my MK808 on/off.

Regards !

There is a app made by HcH from the techknow.me forum site.
It will turn off your device (sleepmode) and you can safely unplug it, or let it as it is , just use the home button to start it up again .

I was under the impression that pulling the plug on your device could brick it, if it is writing to flash memory when you unplug it. It is better to use one of the shutdown apps people have mentioned previously. The bad part is you might be able to unplug it hundreds of times before it actually happens, so you are convinced that it is safe to unplug it.
