initial load.. Had an 808 but had power issues with it..

Just got myself an MK809ii to try and get into the Android world. Difference from the older models is 1.6Ghz A9 processor, 8Gb memory and Bluetooth connectivity built in. Not impressed so far, I am seeing many of the problems people have already mentioned in the few reviews and videos currently circulating. Straight out the box several of the built in apps weren't working correctly, but a reboot fixed the worst of that. Wireless performance is pretty poor, getting half the performance a normal device would have regardless of positioning. After maybe 10 minutes the wireless can drop off altogether although it does still say its connected, just at 0 Mbps. Trying to shut off and restart the wifi using the on/off in settings results in the whole unit freezing solid until rebooted. Doing my nut in, so going to try a firmware update, but no clue how to do it on this device as the instructions and downloads are all in Chinese. What fun!
